Bloggers at USAToday.com have included UGA's Knowshon Moreno on their list of the top 5 "Non-QB Heisman Favorites." My only comment: who are the other four and why do they even think they belong in the same class as Knowshon!?!

 Sports Illustrated Preview features Dawgs on Cover

On the newsstands this week is the annual Sports Illustrated 2008 College Football Preview. Not surprisingly, the Georgia Bulldogs are featured on the cover as the favored team in the preseason rankings. As we know, being on the cover of Sports Illustrated is often the kiss of death, but maybe we'll dodge the curse this time around: the UGA cover is only a regional edition, and other teams are shown on the cover in other parts of the country.

Today's USAToday preseason coaches poll ranks the University of Georgia Bulldogs as the number one team. Coach Richt is quoted as saying, "I told the players that this preseason hype could be a blessing or a curse. It's a curse if you think it gives you a sense of entitlement to where you think you don't have to prepare. It could be a blessing if you look at it as one of the greatest opportunities of your life." Well said!

 Richt Speaks at SEC Media Days

 Coach Mark Richt spoke Thursday as part of the SEC Media Days. The conference's official site has a transcript of his interview online. WR M. Massaquoi and DT Jeff Owens also made comments, which are near the bottom of the transcript.
