A Site for Dawg Fans...by a Dawg Fan!
During the 2001 football season, I began creating some Georgia Bulldog
desktop art (also called wallpaper) for my computer and wanted a way to
share it with other fans throughout the Bulldog Nation. A web site
seemed like a perfect forum, so this site was born.
I was surprised to find that the domain name DawgFan.com was readily
available when I went to register it back in June 2002. An interesting
(to me at least) side note that I learned after this site launched is
that the name previously had been used as a site for the Washington
Huskies (and I thought spelling dog with a "w" was a southern thing!).
The site's been through a few iterations, sometimes with game
commentary. But today, it's primarily focused on sharing desktop art,
icons and some notes on collectors items being hawked on game days in
Athens.
