Bowl Game Recap: Georgia defeats Texas A&M
The Georgia Bulldogs bring home a 44-20 victory over Texas A&M in the Independence Bowl. The Dawgs' 44 points is a new school record, surpassing the previous mark of 41 points in the 2008 Sugar Bowl versus Hawaii. UGA now has a bowl record of 26-16-3 overall, 7-2 with head coach Mark Richt. Read more >

Changes to Defensive Coaching Staff
GeorgiaDogs.com reports that following the 2009 football season, the contracts of three Georgia assistant football coaches will not be renewed. Defensive coordinator and secondary coach Willie Martinez, defensive co-coordinator and linebacker coach John Jancek, and defensive ends coach Jon Fabris will not return in 2010 according to head coach Mark Richt. The universe has now been restored to its proper alignment: the Dawgs defeated the Jackets, 30-24 in a nail-biter in Atlanta. UGA improves to 7-5 overall and handed Georgia Tech its second loss of the season.
